Whats your Wish List?

Hello Everyone,

Last month was filled with amazing experiences where me and my partner got the opportunity to go to Isha Yoga Centre at Coimbatore and witness some things (Yogeshwara Linga Consecration and Mahashivratri  ) that we had never imagined. What a grand experience it was!   It was treuly amazing with thousands of mediators and a  vibrant and enchanting atmosphere 24*7 !!!

If we look closely behind all the actions that we perform , each one of us aim to experiences something  great and grand all the time. Whether it is building a house for you and your family , travelling to a new place, shopping, climbing a mountain, going to a restaurant or a movie, going on a trek, dancing in a disco, sky diving , running a marathon or just sleeping in your beloved blanket on a Sunday morning. With the new online social media we can also see that we like to share our experiences with the world and get a sense of gratification that we are living a good or a great life.

What Experiences do to you?

If you ask anyone who has done a few things mentioned above, especially things like traveling and doing other exotic stuff like adventure sports etc, you will notice that they would have a certain sense of achievement and fulfillment or feeling of constantly learning new things and they would endorse these experiences a means of  learning life completely. They would also  encourage others to do the same. But most importantly these experiences make you feel good about yourself and others look up to you for experience sharing, guidance , motivation etc. In short in the society we live in, you become one of the coolest people to know and  one can take inspiration from. :)

Why do we do a wish List?
However if you become the first person who has some of these experiences and if you honestly look at it closely, you will notice that every experience is beautiful but also it makes you experience something far more better. In fact correct me if I am wrong but you actually want to experience all the things in life which according to you are cool or awesome. And then, at some point of time you will have  this feeling that you can only possibly experience a few things and a huge list of things which (others have experienced )will remain un-experienced by you. This is when you really dont feel good about these experiences and probably then give the desperate stupid cry that you have to be a billionaire to experience everything on this planet!
Hence as a solution (false solution) you create a ' Wish List ' and define the scope of the top most things you want to do in life. So that you can tell your mind to ignore the other things which may remain unfulfilled.

Is there a way to experience everything?
At this point of time I hope that you stumble across Yoga and understand that it is a science that deals with inner experiences and not the outward experiences(listed above) that you kind of define yourself all the time.

People like Sadhguru who are the yogis indeed tell us that, the very bad feeling 'That why cant I experience everything' is the only thing that will drive us to the question ' How we cant get everything ?  and then understand the human nature to expand and experience everything which essentially means we dont want any boundaries for our desires! We want everything and thats how we are!
People like Sadhguru have experienced life the inner way and its worth a try to invest sometime everyday to see where this leads to. This is about exploring the inner dimension in each one of us through tools like inner engineering.
In the worst case scenario, if you dont get anything after trying these practices, Yoga as proven by medical science will certainly give you a healthy mind and body and few more years to live on this planet atleast!

Think about it. Please share your thoughts! :)

Love
